Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand
Teachings by Geshe Yama Rinchen
February / March Teaching Program on Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand.
Geshe Yama Rinchen will be live-streamed from the monastery to TBI at 7.00pm, Tuesday evenings:
FEBRUARY 3rd; 10th; 17th and 24th and MARCH 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st.
Geshe Yama Rinchen will be teaching on Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand, one of the most treasured Lam-rim (Stages of the Path) texts in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Composed by the great Tibetan master Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche, this renowned work presents the entire Buddhist path to enlightenment in a clear, practical, and step-by-step way — guiding us from how to live a meaningful daily life, to developing wisdom, compassion, and ultimately awakening.
These teachings are especially valuable for everyday life, offering guidance that we can apply directly to our thoughts, actions, and spiritual development. Geshe Yama Rinchen’s depth of learning, clarity of explanation, and heartfelt practice make this a rare and precious opportunity for both new and experienced practitioners.
We are sincerely grateful to Venerable Yaki for kindly agreeing to translate the teachings, making them accessible to our wider community.
We warmly encourage everyone to attend and participate in this exceptional opportunity to receive teachings from such a remarkable master.
Geshe Yama Rinchen has kindly agreed to teach and is taking time from his very busy schedule at Sera Je Monastery to do so. Geshe Yama Rinchen is one of the foremost living scholars in the Gelug tradition and was a close, personal student of our late precious Founder, Khensur Kangyur Rinpoche.
After completing more than 20 years of required study he obtained a Lharampa Geshe degree with the highest honours, then attended Gyume Tantric College before becoming disciplinarian of Sera Je Monastery. He was entrusted by H.H. the Dalai Lama, in 2018, to lead the party seeking the reincarnation of Khensur Kangyur Rinpoche in Ladakh and now is entrusted with Yangsi Rinpoche’s education at Sera Je.
